Slack task management
Turn Slack conversations into tracked tasks
Work gets requested in Slack and then buried by the next hundred messages. AI Workflow Coordinator reads those conversations, finds the requests, and keeps them on a board until they are done.

Someone asks for a document by Friday in a thread. Three people react, nobody owns it, and by Thursday it is gone from view. Slack is built for conversation, not for tracking who promised what by when. Copying each request into a task tool by hand works until the week gets busy.
How it works
Step 1
Connect Slack
Your team keeps talking in Slack the way it always has. Nothing changes about how people ask for things.
Step 2
Requests are recognized
As conversations happen, AI Workflow Coordinator picks out the messages that are really work, and the assignee, deadline and priority inside them.
Step 3
Tasks land on a board
Each request becomes a structured task on a Kanban dashboard, so it can be tracked to done instead of scrolling out of sight.
What gets captured
A message like “Can Sarah finish the onboarding docs by Thursday? It’s blocking the new hire” holds three pieces of structure that a plain chat message hides:
- Assignee: who the request is for.
- Deadline: when it is due.
- Priority: how urgent it is, from the wording around it.
Built for teams that work in Slack
If your team runs on Slack and nobody’s job is to chase tasks, this gives you the overview a project manager would keep, without asking everyone to adopt a new habit. Once tasks are captured, follow-ups and reminders keep them moving, and you can read how small teams without a project manager use it.
What the Slack connection covers
The connection covers public channels, and requests are recognized from ordinary messages, so people do not have to @mention the app or use a special format. The person a task is assigned to is notified by direct message. Private conversations are not part of the connection. Slack is one source among several: tasks can also come from Gmail, forwarded email, Teams and an API.
Slack task capture questions
- Does it read private conversations?
- No. The Slack connection covers public channels, not private conversations.
- Do we need to mention the app in a message?
- No. Requests are recognized from normal messages in the channels it covers.
- Does this replace Slack?
- No. People keep asking for work in Slack. The tasks are collected in a separate dashboard so the work is visible in one place.
- Does my team have to change how it talks?
- The point is that it should not. Requests are recognized from normal conversation rather than from a special format your team must remember.
- What does a captured task contain?
- The request itself, plus the assignee, deadline and priority when the conversation mentions them.
