Task follow-ups
Stop chasing people for task updates
In a team without a project manager, someone ends up sending the same message again and again: any update on this? AI Workflow Coordinator sends the follow-ups for you in Slack, so tasks keep moving and nobody has to be the nag.

Following up is awkward and easy to postpone. A request goes quiet, the deadline slips past, and the first anyone hears of it is when it is already late. Doing it by hand means keeping a mental list of who owes what, and checking it every day.
How the follow-ups work
Step 1
Every task has an owner and a date
Follow-ups only work when someone is clearly responsible. Tasks carry an assignee, and a deadline when one is given, so there is someone to ask.
Step 2
The system does the asking
When a high or critical priority task sits untouched in To Do past a set time (24 hours by default, adjustable per workspace), the assignee gets a Slack direct message. The reminder does not depend on a person remembering to send it.
Step 3
Escalation and a daily summary
If a task is still untouched after twice that time, the workspace owner gets an escalation message. A daily summary of tasks due today can also be sent by direct message.
Where the tasks come from
Follow-ups need tasks with owners and deadlines in the first place. AI Workflow Coordinator can turn Slack conversations into tracked tasks, so the follow-ups have something to attach to. It is built for small teams without a project manager. Tasks can also come in from Gmail, email and Teams.
Which tasks get follow-ups
Follow-ups are aimed at the work that matters most. A task is chased when it is high or critical priority and has sat untouched in To Do past a set time. Lower-priority tasks are left alone, so the messages stay worth reading. Follow-ups arrive as Slack direct messages, so the Slack connection needs to be set up first. Prefer to start by hand? Follow-up and reminder questions
- Which tasks are followed up?
- High and critical priority tasks that are still in To Do after the set time. Lower-priority tasks are not chased.
- Where do follow-ups arrive?
- In Slack, as direct messages to the person the task is assigned to.
- Does this replace talking to my team?
- No. It replaces the repetitive part, the "any update on this?" message, so conversations can be about the work itself.
- Who gets the follow-up?
- The follow-up is tied to the task, so it goes to whoever the task is assigned to.
