Task capture
Create tasks from Gmail, email, Teams and your own tools
Work is not only requested in chat. It arrives in inboxes, forwards and other apps. AI Workflow Coordinator can collect tasks from those places too, so everything ends up on one board.
Four more ways tasks get in
Gmail
Connect your own inbox through Google’s sign-in screen. New messages are checked regularly by the same AI that reads Slack, and the ones that look like tasks are added to your board.
Forwarded email
Send or forward an email to your workspace’s task inbox from the address you signed up with. The subject and body are read by the AI and saved as a task under your name.
Microsoft Teams
Add the bot to a Teams channel and mention it with a create-task request to add a task. Teams channels can also be registered to receive task updates.
The API
Create, list, update and cancel tasks from your own tools with a workspace API key, so other apps can feed the same board.
Alongside Slack
Most teams start by turning Slack conversations into tasks. These sources add to that, and every task, whichever way it arrived, can get the same follow-ups and reminders. New to the idea? Read the guide to AI task management.
Choosing where to start
Start where requests pile up. Teams that live in their inbox can begin with Gmail or forwarded email, and teams that coordinate in Microsoft Teams can add the bot there. If another tool already creates work, such as a form or an internal app, the API can send those tasks to the same board. Some of these sources need setup before they work for your workspace.
Gmail, email, Teams and API questions
- Does every email become a task?
- No. Each message is checked by the AI, and messages that do not look like a task are skipped. Messages that were already turned into tasks are not added twice.
- Do I have to use Slack?
- No. Slack is one way in. Gmail, forwarded email, Microsoft Teams and the API feed the same task board.
- Who can use the API?
- API keys belong to a workspace and are created from the dashboard. Requests send the key in an X-API-Key header.
